Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (42103468) and the date (08/29/1442), indicating that the Council received the following letter from the Ministry of Commerce No. (42144) and the date (08/23/1442), based on their letter No. (10138) and the date (4/29/1441), in which reference is made to the letter of the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality No. (3606 / P) dated (20/4/1441), which includes the following:
-Request to notify all importers of washing machines of the necessity to apply the limits of the second phase of the mandatory Saudi Standard No. (SASO2885: 2018) for (electric clothes washing machines - energy performance requirements, testing, and labels) in (customs outlets and local factories) on (1/10/2020) so that the limit The lowest energy efficiency level is level (E), and the second phase will be applied to the market on (1/10/2021).
-Giving a tolerance in the energy efficiency factor for manufacturers and suppliers to adhere to the requirements of the second phase of the application according to what was stated in the authority letter No. (5532) and the date (11/8/1442 AH), which includes permitting the minimum energy efficiency for (top-loading washing machine, two tub washer) Level (F) until the date (12/31/2021), and the second phase will be applied to the markets on (1/1/2023)
